                                                                                        Minutes of Sho-Me Band Booster Meeting
                                                                                                             August 14, 2009


August meeting was held during the Annual Ice Cream Social & Booster sign up / informational meeting.

Mr. Winters began the meeting by giving a presentation regarding being in the Sho-Me Band.  He also informed the new parents what the
band fee pays for including a t-shirt, drill and music.  All freshman need to purchase band shoes for $20.00.  Mr. Winters explained that all the
forms are on the Sho-Me Band website.  Students need to arrive for evening football games at 5:30 p.m. and are expected to stay for the entire
game.

It was explained that the band cards will be a 100 % profit that will go into the students account for the Disney Trip.  There will a fundraiser
approximately every month with a portion going towards the students account.

Parents were informed of the upcoming Competitions and Festivals.
October 3rd at Jonesboro; October 6th at Sikeston; October 10th at Potosi;
October 17th at Park Hills and October 24th at Greater St. Louis.

The times of the Marching Band Rehearsals were explained; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:00 – 5:15.  The attendance policy
was explained to the parents.

Parents were informed of the importance of becoming a band booster and attending the meetings that are held on the second Thursday of
each month at 6:30 p.m.

Mr. Winters talked about the upcoming Disney Trip in March of 2010.

The chaperones attending the Disney Trip are:  Cheri Morgan, Ms Weaver, Jeanna Kayser, Tammy Bostic, Jeanie Irvin, Susan Reindl, Mr.
Winters, Mr. Stanton, Mr. Tyler and Wayne Irvin. Parents were encouraged to stay informed by the band website.

Mr. Stanton presented a new website that will keep the parents informed of the students finances on Charms website.  Parents will be able to
view how much the student has paid toward their trip through payments and fundraisers.  Mr. Stanton explained the process of how to access
this information after obtaining the students ID number.

Ice Cream and Brownies were served to the parents and students.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 10th at 6:30 p.m.
