                                                                         Minutes of Sho-Me Band Booster Meeting
                                                                                            March 19th, 2009


Meeting was called to order by Secretary, Tammy Bostic.

SECRETARY REPORT

Secretary report was presented by Tammy Bostic.  Motion to accept was made by Mr. Stanton, Jeanna Kayser 2nd, motion
carried.

TREASURER REPORT

Treasurer report was given by Jeanna Kayser.  A breakdown of the general account was presented with a list of deposits and
bills that had been paid.

Dr. Doug Leibinger, was paid a clinician fee of $250.00 along with mileage and dinner for his services provided on February
26.

Tammy Bostic made a motion to accept, Mr. Winters 2nd, motion carried.

BAND DIRECTOR’S REPORT

Mr. Stanton reported that it has been a successful Concert Band Season.  He has had good attendance and the band has
done a great job.

March 28th there will be a District Solo’s & Ensemble Competition at Three Rivers Community College.

The spring concert is set for Thursday, April 30th at the Kay Porter Theatre at 7:00 p.m.

The band did not compete in the Springfield competition due to the inclement weather.

Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Susan Reindl 2nd, motion carried.

FUND RAISER REPORT

Kara Stanton reported that the students will begin selling candles and other products by Home & Garden from April 7th thru
April 20th.

Applebee’s fundraiser will once again be held on March 28th from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  Tickets will be sold for $5.00
with the band receiving a $3.00 profit from each ticket sold.  This will include all you can eat pancakes, bacon and drink.

50/50 raffle will be held at the Spring Concert selling tickets for a $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Tammy Bostic 2nd, motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Cardinal Form for the picture that was taken when the students played at the Cardinal game has been put on the Band
website.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Winters presented sample packages for the Walt Disney Trip.  The trip is tentatively scheduled for March 6th thru March
11th.

Mr. Winters reported the band phone was not working, Jeanna Kayser will call and check on this.

The seniors picked a Luau theme for the Spring Banquet which is scheduled for April 21st.  There will be 23 seniors honored
at the banquet.  Tickets will be $10.00 per person, band students free of charge.

Some of the students will be traveling to Columbia on May 1st to compete in All State Solo’s and Ensemble competition on
May 2nd.

Tammy Bostic made a motion to accept, Mr. Winters 2nd, motion carried.

Mr. Winters made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Stanton 2nd.  The next meeting will be scheduled for April 16th.
