                                                                                Minutes of Sho-Me Band Booster Meeting March 13, 2008

Meeting was called to order by Richard Barton.

SECRETARY REPORT

Secretary report was presented by Tammy Bostic. Motion to accept was made by Jeanna Kayser, Mr. Winters 2nd, motion carried.

TREASURER REPORT

Treasurer report was given by Jeanna Kayser. Steve Mayo made a motion to accept, Mr. Winters 2nd, motion carried.

BAND DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Band report was given by Mr. Winters.

The concert Band's performance on Tuesday, March 11 was a big success even though the clinician cancelled.

Jazz Bands will be performing at Mineral Area College on Saturday, March 15.

There will be a Large Ensemble Performance on Saturday, March 29th at TRCC. Wind Ensemble will perform at 8:00 a.m. and Concert Band at 10:16
a.m.

Jazz Bands will be taking a trip to Branson, Mo. on April 18th and 19th. They will perform at the College of the Ozarks on Friday the 18th and will go to
Silver Dollar City on Saturday the 19th.

May 1st will be the Spring Concert in the Kay Porter Theater at 7:00p.m.

Mr. Winters and Mr. Emerson reported that a good percentage of the 8th grade band students have signed up for next year. There will be a Freshman
Band to teach what they need for High School and a Symphonic Band for grades 10th thru 12th.

Drumline and Colorguard Camp will be from July 28th thru the 31st. Marching Band Camp will be from August 4th thru the 8th.

Jackson Bostic received recognition for developing the Sho-Me Band Website. Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Corey Emerson 2nd, motion
carried.

FUND RAISER REPORT

Fund raiser report was given by Tammy Bostic.

$200.00 was raised from the skate city night held on Tuesday, March 4th.

A discussion was made regarding selling candles and raffling tickets for a Briggs and Stratton Engine. The winning ticket would be drawn at the Band
Banquet.

There will be a $1.00 admission for attending the Spring Concert on Thursday, May 1st. Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Corey Emerson 2nd,
motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

Due to the inclement weather over the past three months there has not been a booster meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Winters has made arrangements for the Band to play at a Cardinals game on September 25th. The band will be playing, "God Bless America".
Tickets may be purchased for $10.00 with a $25.00 value.

Mr. Winters reported that there is a balance due of $542.00 to Shivelbine's for a Snare Drum that was purchased last year. This will be paid for out of
the Instrument Fund.

The Spring Band Banquet will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at the 5th and 6th Grade Center. We will be voting for Band Booster Officer's
for the 2008 - 2009 school year.

Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Wayne Irvin made a motion to 2nd, motion carried.

Steve Mayo made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Winters 2nd. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 10th.
