                                                                            Minutes of Sho-Me Band Booster Meeting
November 13th 2008



Meeting was called to order by President, Richard Barton.

SECRETARY REPORT

Secretary report was presented by Tammy Bostic.  Motion to accept was made by Jeanna Kayser, Mr. Stanton 2nd, motion carried.

TREASURER REPORT

Treasurer report was given by Jeanna Kayser.  A breakdown of the general account was presented with a list of deposits and bills that
had been paid.  Tammy Bostic made a motion to accept, Mr. Winters 2nd, motion carried.

BAND DIRECTOR’S REPORT

Mr. Winters reported that November 11th the Jazz Technology Day Concert was held.  The students did a good job and there was a
good turn out for the concert.

The Christmas Concert has been scheduled for December 11th at the Kay Porter Theatre at 7:00 p.m.  There will be a $1.00
admission, children under 5 free.

The Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 5th.  Mrs. Winters will be in charge.  A bus will take the students to Whitely Park and
will bring them back to the high school after the parade.  Tables will be set up to check in their band uniforms after the parade.  
Volunteers will be needed to assist with this event.

Mr. Stanton reported that there are approximately 30 students interested in after school Jazz

Mr. Winters thanked the boosters for the successful hayride.

Mr. Winters and Mr. Stanton wrote a grant for Jazz Music, Instruments and video’s from Goody’s.  It was sent to the national office to see
if it will be granted.

Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Laura Williams 2nd, motion carried.

FUND RAISER REPORT

Fruit sales are over with a profit of $1,581.30.  The fruit should be delivered the second week of December.

Kara Stanton has accepted as the chairperson of the Fund Raiser Committee.
She will be contacting interested volunteers to set up a meeting to discuss fund raisers.

Richard Barton reported that $200.00 was made for Dress Down Days.

The Skate City Fund Raiser will be rescheduled after the first of the year.

Jeanna Kayser made a motion to accept, Tammy Bostic 2nd, motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS  

The students received their band pictures that were taken from Amy Jo’s Photography.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Winters is purchasing a package that will include the drill and music for next years marching show.

There will not be a meeting in December due to the Christmas Concert on the scheduled night.

Jeanna Kayser made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Winters 2nd, motion carried.
