Minutes of Sho-Me Band Booster Meeting
                                                                                          October 8, 2009

An addendum was made to the minutes of the meeting due to a quest speaker.

Clint Johnston, (Financial Administration with the school) met with the Booster's to discuss financial options to assist in
purchasing new uniforms for the band. Mr. Johnston explained that $2,000.00 had been given to the band for picking up trash
in August at the grade schools. He proposed that another $5,000.00 could be given to the band if the band students and
parents assisted in moving Eugene Field to the new building and proposed another $10,000.00 next fall to move the
Kindergarten Center to their new building for an estimated total of $17,000.00. Mr. Johnston will propose this to the school
board but is requesting that the boosters meet with the School board in November to explain what the band wants to
accomplish. Band Boosters will be given approximately ten to twelve minutes in this board meeting. A letter needs to be
written to the Board of Education. The board will meet the third Thursday in November.

Mr. Johnston wants to see a sample uniform. He requests that a chart be visible for the students to see their financial
success towards purchasing new uniforms. He wants the students to feel good about their accomplishment with this goal
and feel good about wearing this uniform.

Meeting was called to order by President, Jeanna Kayser.

from the account instead of using his credit card.

Susan reported the Charm's account is working well to keep track of what is in each account.

A student was injured at the Jonesboro Competition. Crutches and an ace wrap were purchased for $62.60. $36.44 was

OLD BUSINESS

$85.60. Jay Martin made a motion that this be purchased those in attendance agreed.

Mr. Winters talked about the Greater St. Louis trip. The band is playing at 9:45 a.m. so the band will have to be at the school by
3:30 a.m. to leave. He has done some research in the possibility of the band spending the night in St. Louis due to a safety
issue with the bus drivers. The students would only be responsible for $10.00 to go towards their room. There is money in the
travel budget to cover the rest with parents paying for their own rooms at a reduced rate. Tammy Bostic made a motion that
the band spends the night, those in attendance agreed.

The boosters will supply donuts, milk and juice for Saturday morning and purchase pizzas for dinner on Saturday before
