Minutes of Sho-Me Band Booster Meeting
September 10, 2009
Meeting was called to order by President, Jeanna Kayser.
SECRETARY REPORT
Secretary's report for July and August meetings were presented by Tammy Bostic. Jeanie Irvin made a motion to accept, Susan
Reindl 2nd, motion carried.
TREASURER REPORT
Treasurer report was given by Susan Reindl. The instrument account has been closed and put into the Florida trip account.
A $2,000.00 payment needs to be made in October for the rest of the music that was purchased for Marching season.
Statements will be given to students that are behind on their band accounts.
$170.00 was made by selling band cards at the football game on August 28th. It was discussed putting this money into Mrs. Winters
Florida trip account. Jay Martin made a motion for these funds to go into Mrs. Winters account. All those present at the meeting agreed
to this motion.
Kara Stanton made a motion to accept, Tammy Bostic 2nd, motion carried.
FUND RAISER REPORT
Kara Stanton reported the Band Card Fundraiser has been very successful. There is no time limit to quit selling the cards.
There will be a fundraiser meeting on Thursday, September 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room to discuss fundraising ideas for the
next few months. An email will be sent out to invite boosters to this meeting.
Mr. Winters made a motion to accept, Jeanna Kayser 2nd, motion carried.
BAND DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Mr. Winters reported that the students are working hard and are doing great at learning the show.
Tammy Bostic made a motion to accept, Kara Stanton 2nd, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
A CD player was purchased and Mr. Stanton reported it is working great. It is a CD/DVD player so they are able to watch their
performances after playing at the football games.
Amy Jo's Photography is scheduled to take the band pictures on Tuesday, September 22nd at the stadium.
Jeanie Irvin made a motion to accept, Raegail Motsinger 2nd, motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
It was discussed that the two trailers are all that would be needed to take to the competitions in October. One trailer would be used for
the instruments and one for the uniforms. The food trailer needs to be cleaned out and inventoried. Wayne and Jeanie Irvin will set a
time for this trailer to be cleaned. There also need to be boosters who can pull the trailers.
Mr. Winters reported that the students picked up trash at several schools during band camp and received $2,000.00 to go towards
their uniform purchase. Clint Johnston would like to know what dollar amount the boosters can contribute to go towards purchasing
new uniforms. The boosters would like to have Clint Johnston attend the next booster meeting to discuss this issue. Mr. Winters is
estimating new uniforms will cost between $35,000.00 - $40,000.00. Parents will be encouraged to attend this meeting.
Senior night is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd.

Motion to adjourn was made by Jeanie Irvin, Mr. Stanton 2nd, motion carried.
